With the adapter popped up, the head swivels like a typical universal joint. With the adapter pushed down in the locked position, the adapter works as a strong, straight adapter to change the drive size only. The 6-sided hex design of these adapters is pin-free, making them 3 times stronger than traditional 2-pin type designs.
